  • Kerri M Bagnall, MD

    Dr Bagnall knew that she wanted to be a pediatrician early in life and it has been a wonderful decision for her! She loves watching each stage of development in kids and feels it is a privilege to help children grow into healthy adults. Her passion is in child advocacy. As the medical advisor to Safe Passage in Colorado Springs, she can see how pediatricians, nurses and other professionals make a difference in both children's lives and families as a whole. She loves working at Iron Horse Pediatrics and feels she has found her voice for children!

    Dr Bagnall's family moved from the midwest to Colorado to enjoy the wealth of activities Colorado has to offer. When not working she enjoys skiing, yoga, cooking and spending time with her husband and active little boy

  • Edward C Maynard, MD

    Dr. Maynard started his undergraduate education at Harvard College, then left to do two years of community service, first working with the underprivileged in southern Virginia, and then working for the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation. Dr. Maynard later completed his undergraduate work at the University of California at Santa Cruz, doing research in biochemistry at the National Institutes of Health and at UC San Francisco School of Medicine. He earned his MD degree at Harvard Medical School  in 1982, and completed his pediatric residency at Boston Children's Hospital in 1985. He worked for two years on the Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico, then returned to New England to train in neonatology and work in newborn intensive care.

    In 1993, Dr. Maynard moved to Colorado Springs and began his work in primary care pediatrics. He is currently serving on the executive committee of the Colorado Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Maynard is board certified in both pediatric and neonatal medicine.

    Dr. Maynard is married to Dr. Pamela Taylor, an adult cardiologist, and has three children-- Hannah, Ned and Nell. He enjoys climbing mountains, mountain biking, skiing and horseback riding.

    He is actively involved in ongoing development of the Memorial Hospital for Children. 

  • K Patrick McCaffery, DO

    Dr. McCaffery grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and did his undergraduate work at Wichita State University. He earned his D.O. in Des Moines, Iowa, and trained in pediatrics in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

    Dr. McCaffery first practiced and taught in Fort Worth, Texas, then became an Assistant Professor and Head of the Pediatric Department at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. He received numerous awards for his teaching and public service, including work on the Missouri Crippled Children's Commission and Governor's High Risk Maternal-Fetal Committee. He served as President of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, and for many years chaired the grants committee of the National Osteopathic Foundation.

    In 1981, Dr. McCaffery moved to Colorado Springs, where he has built a busy pediatric practice. He has served Memorial Hospital as Chair of the Pediatric Section and as Chief of Staff, and been President of the Pikes Peak Pediatric Society. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. McCaffery's wife, Karen, is an avid needlepoint artist; they have two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include antique cars and touring the country in his RV.

  • Erica Mulder, MD

    Dr. Mulder was born and raised on the East coast. She attended Duke University where she completed her undergraduate degree in biology with a certificate in Health Policy. She earned her MD at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She then moved to Virginia where she completed her Pediatric residency at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. After residency she stayed for an extra year to be a chief resident . In this position, she enjoyed lecturing and teaching residents and students and worked as a hospitalist at seven area hospitals. Dr. Mulder is interested in international healthcare and has participated in medical mission trips to Kenya, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Venezuela and North Africa.

  • Elisa Valdez, MD

    Dr. Valdez completed her Bachelor's degree in Biology at Colorado State University before receiving her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She completed a pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio before returning to Colorado. She enjoys spending time in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with her yellow lab, Tess.

  • Sharon Hunter, PA-C

    Sharon Hunter graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a B.A. in Biology and Psychology. She then went on to complete the 3 year Child Health Associate Program at the University Of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, receiving her M.S. degree there and completing her Physician Assistant training. She has enjoyed working as a certified pediatric Physician Assistant for twenty years now, living her dream.

    Sharon’s father was a military chaplain, so moving and seeing the world was a large part of her childhood experience. Having lived in numerous places growing up, she continues to love to travel today when possible. She has enjoyed living and working as a pediatric PA in Boston, MA, Las Vegas, NV, and now back “home” in Colorado Springs where she graduated high school and where her parents, now retired, live.

    Outside of work, Sharon likes to play the piano when she can; reads; has scuba dived in Bonaire, Roatan, and even Lake Michigan; skis; and mostly enjoys spending time with her husband, Tim Hunter, their 2 rescued kitties; and family and friends.

  • Amy Miller, PA-C

     

    Amy Miller graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Biology and attended the University of Colorado for her physician assistant studies, graduating with her Masters of Science. She worked as a PA in Family Practice for five years and joined Iron Horse Pediatrics in order to follow her passion of children’s healthcare. She enjoys being outside with her husband and daughter.
  • Crystal Ralph, PA-C

    After graduating as Valedictorian from Elizabeth High School, Crystal Ralph completed her undergraduate education at UCCS, earning a degree in Chemistry. Crystal continued her education at the University of Colorado at Denver where she graduated from the Child Health Associate/PA program with her Masters of Physician Assistant studies.


    As a Colorado native, Crystal finds running with her two dogs a great way to explore and admire the Colorado landscape. She and her husband enjoy playing softball as well as camping, hiking, biking, and snowboarding.
